In the past, cedar logs cut from the mountain of Kito were transported by making them float down the stream of the Naka river. To display the skills cultivated there, the highly-appreciated event ""Kito Sugi Ippon Nori Festival” is held.
Ride on the log and go down the flow with one rod in hand to keep the balance. A workshop will be held before the event, during which the masters will kindly teach their skills, so that even beginners can ride logs at the festival ... or maybe not?
